Meet Our Staff
DANA DRACY, JD, LCSW-PIP, QMHP
Dana attended the University of South Dakota where she received a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, a Juris Doctorate, and a Masters Degree in Social Work. After graduating from law school in 2009, Dana worked as an attorney for eight years, with her primary focus in the field of family law. In 2016, Dana embraced the calling to return to her roots in the field of Social Work, and began her work as a Clinical Social Worker in the Yankton community. Dana provides therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families navigating various mental health and relationship challenges. In addition to providing therapy, she also serves as a parenting coordinator and custody evaluator. When not in the office, Dana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, supporting her children at their athletic and fine arts events, volunteering, baking, skiing, bicycling, playing softball, reading, boating, and practicing yoga.
ALEXA GAUER, LCSW-PIP, RPT, QMHP
Alexa attended the University of South Dakota where she received a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and the University of Nebraska-Omaha where she received a Masters Degree in Social Work. Alexa has been a practicing social worker since 2012 with experience in substance abuse treatment facilities, inpatient psychiatric care, college counseling, and outpatient therapy. Alexa completed a 150 hour Certificate in Play Therapy through Heartland Play Therapy Institute in 2019 and earned her credential as a Registered Play Therapist. Alexa also completed EMDR Basic Training through The Maiberger Institute in 2021. S Alexa teaches in higher education while maintaining a part-time therapy practice. Alexa primarily works with children, adolescents, and their families. Alexa enjoys being involved in service opportunities, reading a good book, traveling, spending time on the water, and most importantly creating memories with her children and husband.
SARAH BORGERS, LCSW, QMHP
Sarah attended the University of South Dakota to complete a Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work. Sarah has been a practicing licensed certified social worker since 2022 with experience in an after-school program and clinical outpatient therapeutic setting. Sarah is looking forward to completing Play Therapy training in 2024 at the Heartland Play Therapy Institute. Sarah works primarily with children and adolescents, but also enjoys working with young adults. Sarah enjoys volunteer opportunities, reading, cooking, playing volleyball, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying time at the river.
BRITTANY LACROIX, LCSW, QMHP
Brittany attended the University of South Dakota where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Communications and a Masters in Social Work. Brittany has been practicing in a therapeutic setting since 2023, with experience in outpatient mental health. Brittany has completed training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS). Brittany looks forward to working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults. Brittany, a Yankton-native, enjoys being active in the community and cheering on her children in all their extra-curricular activities. In her free time, Brittany can be found spending time with her family and friends, watering her 30+ house plants, reading, traveling, exploring nature, or binge watching the latest Netflix series.
MAGGIE JENSEN, LCSW, LAC, QMHP
Maggie attended the University of South Dakota where she received training to become a Licensed Addiction Counselor. Maggie worked for several years with adolescents and adults in inpatient treatment prior to returning to The University of Iowa where she graduated with her Masters in Social Work in 2020. Maggie works part-time at Meridian Counseling and Family Services where she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults. Maggie enjoys spending time with her family, camping, reading, and enjoying the company of friends.
JENNA BRAUNESREITHER, OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Jenna brings over ten years of administrative experience in legal and psychological settings to our agency. Jenna, a Yankton native, loves camping and boating. She dedicates time to family and friendships, enjoys traveling, and is gifted at hosting celebrations. She is a wonderful mother to her children, and a fantastic aunt to nieces, nephews, and the children of friends. She looks forward to answering questions and welcoming clients to Meridian Counseling & Family Services, LLC.
